Zygmunt Friedrich was born in Warsaw. A Bund activist, he became the JFO's liaison officer on the Aryan side of Warsaw. During the Insurrection, he took part in the fighting with
a Bund unit. On April 29, 1943, he guided a group of fighting men out of the Ghetto via
the sewers. Keeping contact with Yitzhak Zuckerman, he continued his work but was shot down in May 1943, along with his companions,
